Merry Christmas! We spent the last two days with the Hornsby family at Ken & Wanda’s house and enjoyed getting to spend time with everyone, especially Jared’s nieces. After lots of good food, conversation and sleeping by the fire, Christmas has come and gone. On to the new year we go!

We have a serious mole problem at our house. Luckily, we also have an amazing dog named Copper. After a long and exhausting hunt on Saturday, Copper brought us a little prize. In true Hornsby fashion, he didn’t even hurt the mole. Just covered it in sap and pine mulch. What an amazing dog.

The mole is actually pretty cute. Sharp nails though.

Jared took him out to an empty field. Hopefully he will live a full life and stay away from the suburbs in the future.

Oh Copper…

We have a very strong love-hate relationship. In the last week, the love portion has been seriously questioned. For those of you who don’t know, Copper is a magical dog. We often refer to him as our little houdini. Not only can he get out of his metal kennel (doors still locked) but apparently he can now unscrew things with no opposable thumbs. This is youtube material (if we only had a video camera). After arriving home from Transformers on Tuesday, we found that Copper opened the cabinets under our sink, with child locks, and somehow pulled out our plumbing!
