Halloween is here. On Friday, Jared and I went to our first Halloween party together. The Jones’ always have a party but this is the first year we were able to attend. This is probably the first time I dressed up for Halloween since I was 9 or 10 years old. We pulled up to the party in our bikes and sported the Mormon look. Don’t worry, we didn’t offend anyone. Our costumes were a hit though!

art stroll

Last night we spent our evening under the overpass in Baton Rouge. Some local artists put together an Art Stroll that spilled over to venues, homes and bars in a one block radius. Live music, photography, print and paintings lined the walls of peoples homes, converting them into art galleries. The effort was well worth it and the evening was enjoyed by many in BR. We bought our first gallery piece for the house from local artist Britt King.

Our evening started out at Chelsea’s and we slowly wound our way around the other venues and homes. Jared and his BOT (Books on Tap) group rode their bikes to each location and ended their night visiting a few pubs downtown. Beautiful weather and a very fun evening.
